Flexeiras is your beach to walk on...

Flexeiras is located 110 miles west of city center in Fortaleza. The ocean is calm, almost no waves at all. Just like most of the beaches in Ceará, there are coconut trees everywhere, lagoons and beautiful dunes to ride on a dune-buggy. Some parts are still unexplored, which makes Flexeiras a wonderful place for people who enjoy desert beaches. There is one
nice hotel, some great inns and restaurants.
          Three miles away from Flexeiras there is a place called Mundaú, which has the same structure as Flexeiras but is mostly desert beach. During the low-tide period, reefs can be seen everywhere and people enjoy looking for small fish and shells trapped on the rocks. When the tide goes up, natural swimming pools are formed and it becomes a great place for snorkeling to look at the colorful fish that live in the natural pools.       
          There are at least three fishermen villages around Flexeiras. On the way to Mundaú there is one surrounded by one of the most beautiful landscapes of our coast. There is even a lighthouse that still works. Our Flexeiras tour features some of  the most beautiful landscape in the area. (Note: For some people, it's the most beautiful view in the country!)
          The best of the best is where the Mundaú river meets the ocean, forming an S in the sand. On one side you see a great coconut tree grove, on the other you see  jangadas waiting to go back to sea.
          There is also a boat that takes people for tours along the river so they can enjoy the beautiful view. Flexeiras is a unique beach and people who enjoy being in touch with nature will surely love it. The pousada where our groups stay is simple but very nice, very friendly staff and the food absolutely delicious! You are all welcome to come and see it for yourselves!
